DESCRIPTION:The Commonwealth's Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development will discuss supports and incentives available to businesses looking to meet unfilled workforce needs by employing work-authorized new immigrants\, including ESOL training\, skills training\, on-boarding and post hiring support services.  This session will also include a presentation by an employer discussing a successful hiring model and an opportunity for Q&A.\n\n \n\n\n\nDawn Beati and Ken Brown will be sharing information on the State's new Tax Credit Program for businesses who hire and provide job training to EA Shelter populations. For eligible businesses who hire and provide job training to newcomers from Emergency Assistance (EA) shelters to help them thrive in Massachusetts and meet your workforce needs. The "Temporary Authorized Training Tax Credit for Emergency Assistance" (TATTCEA) is a tax credit for employers that provide employment\, work-related training\, knowledge\, and skills to work-authorized jobseekers in Emergency Assistance (EA) shelters.
