Monday\, December 21\, 2020 9:30AM-10:45AM Instructor: Mandi Garrison Begin the first day of winter with some calming yin yoga to welcome the return of light and prepare your body and mind for colder months. Yin yoga involves deep stretching on the floor with gentle poses typically held for 3-5 minutes. The muscular relaxation involved in a yin practice helps to target joints\, fascia\, and connective tissue\; it is wonderful for circulation\, flexibility\, balance\, and reducing stress. The practice may include some gentle warm-ups\, as well as centering and guided relaxation. Mandi is an experienced 500-hour Kripalu yoga instructor and a yoga practitioner for nearly 20 years. Her calming and intuitively guided classes aim to provide energetic balance and a refuge from the hectic activities of daily life. Mandi's background begins with the rich practices of Iyengar\, Vinyasa\, Yin\, Restorative\, and Kundalini yoga -- and expands to specialize in intuitive sequencing\, seasonal yoga practices\, yoga for special populations\, and guiding pranayama\, meditation\, and relaxation.
