DESCRIPTION:Join the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce for our upcoming Seminar Series event\, Massachusetts Pay Transparency Law: What Employers Need to Know.\n\n\n\nAre you ready for the MA Pay Transparency Law?  The Commonwealth of Massachusetts passed a pay transparency legislation in July 2024.  This law went into effect on January 1\, 2025 with two main effective dates that companies should be aware of:  \n\n	On February 1\, 2025\, the state required all employers with 100 or more employees to submit their most recent EEO-1 reports to the Commonwealth on an annual basis.  \n\n \n\n\n	On October 29\, 2025\, the state will require all employers with 25 or more employees to disclose pay ranges on job postings\, provide to employees during promotions and upon employee inquiry.  \n\nEmployee Protections: The law protects employees from retaliation for asking about salary ranges when applying for a job or promotion.\n\n\n\nViolations for Nonconformance:\n\n\n	1st offense: Warning\n	2nd offense: Fine up to $500\n	3rd offense: Fine up to $1\,000\n	4th or subsequent offense: Fine of $25\,000 or higher per violation\n\nDuring this seminar we will discuss\, Is your company ready?  \n\n\n	Do all of your company roles have updated job descriptions with pay ranges?\n	Do you have updated job postings with accurate pay ranges listed?  \n	Have you completed a pay equity audit prevent gender & racial discrimination?\n	Are you prepared for employees to inquire about their pay range?  \n\nPresented by:\n\nPatty Vattes\n\nOwner & Executive HR Consultant\n\n\n\nPatty is a seasoned Executive HR Consultant with over 20 years of progressive experience.
