DESCRIPTION:We are excited to invite you to participate in the 2024 Run4Veterans 5k Road Race/Walk with Veterans Inc. for our inaugural year at Polar Park! We look forward to a fun morning of activity in support of Veterans and their families in need. Registration begins at 8am. Help us do more for the Veterans we serve while enjoying the home of the Woo Sox! Run to win\, walk for fun\, but most importantly sign up and have fun for a good cause!\n \n\nThe Event is FREE for Veterans! (W/ Proof of Status)\n\n All Fitness Levels and Strollers Welcome!\n \n\nAll Pre-Registrants will receive a commemorative event running shirt\, and all participants will enjoy food\, beer\, music\, prizes\, and more after the race. If you can't make it in person this year\, we are offering a virtual sign-up option as well! Just run a 5k before the deadline\, submit your times\, and we will recognize your participation and honor the virtual winner alongside the in-person honorees.\n \n\nRep your branch or wear your Red\, White\, & Blue.\n \n\nPacket Pick-Up:\n\nWe will be hosting an early packet pickup the day before the race. This will be held at Sneakerama located at 12 Lake Ave\, Worcester\, Ma 01604 from 10am-2pm on Saturday\, November 2\, 2024. We strongly encourage early pick-up as we have over 500 runners!\n \n\nEvent Shirts:\n\nEvent shirts will be given out at race packet pickup or day of the race. If you registered prior to 10/8/24 you are guaranteed your shirt size. If you signed up 10/8 and afterwards\, we will do our best to get you your shirt size\, however\, sizes are not guaranteed.\n \n\nOpening Ceremony:\n\nAn opening ceremony will take place at the starting line at 10am. We will be recording a "Wake Up Call" with WCVB which will be televised on channel 5. The opening ceremony will also include the star-spangled banner\, opening remarks\, etc. All participants should be in place by 10am\; with a race start time of 10:30am.\n \n\nAwards Ceremony:\n\nAn awards ceremony will begin at 11:30am at Polar Park. We have a winner's podium and trophies for the top 3 placements in each category. We encourage all to gather and participate!\n \n\nAwards:\n\nAwards to the top 3 male/female overall\n\nTop male/female runner in each age group 1-14\, 15-22\, 23-29\, 30-39\, 40-49\, 50-59\, 60-69\, 70+\n\nTop male/female Veteran\n\nTop male/female wheelchair
