First Day Hike with Friends of Sturbridge Trails

The Friends of Sturbridge Trails (FrOST) is once again holding its popular First Day Hike on January 1^st, 2023, 1 PM on the Riverlands Trails, parking at 52 Stallion Hill Rd.

Ever wonder what the view is like from the large hill you see as you drive down RT 20 in Sturbridge? Join FrOST members David and Brandon on this guided hike, exploring our newly opened Riverlands trails and enjoy the view from the Cistern trail overlooking the Quinebaug river valley down to the Riverwalk trail, hiking right along the Quinebaug River! 

The hike is about 3 miles long & will last about 2.5 hours. Moderate terrain, older children welcome & dogs on leash. Dress for the weather & snow/ice on trails. Bad snowstorm weather will cancel. Bring your water bottle & snowshoes if deep snow!
