Join the Sturbridge Trail Committee on our First Day Hikes!

We will offer two different hikes this year.

Our Family & dog friendly hike will start at 10:00 a.m. at the parking lot at Old Sturbridge Village Access Road (Leadmine Mt trails) and will be led by Kathy and husband Brian. The hike will be the Arbutus Park trail which is a loop of 1.5 miles of easy hiking and should take about an hour. This hike is great for all ages and our fur babies as well.

Our 2nd hike is for the “more advanced hiker”. This hike will also start at 10:00 a.m. at the parking lot at 197 Leadmine Road (Heins Farm & Leadmine) and will be led by Dave and his wife Joanne. The hike will be a loop of Cow Stile and Mt Laurel trails, of about 4 miles and should take approximately 2 hours. This hike is for more advanced hikers due to the terrain and speed of the hike, well behaved dogs on a 6 ft leash allowed.

PLEASE: Dress for the weather, including footwear suitable for the winter trail surface conditions. If we are experiencing dangerous weather these hikes will be cancelled. Do not forget your water bottle!
