Bay Path's Cooperative Education Program

COOP STUDENTS AT WORK

Bay Path's Cooperative Education Program

What is Cooperative Education?

Cooperative Education (Co-op) is a partnership between the school, students, parents, and industry partners. Co-op's goal is to provide supervised workplace employment, as an extension of vocational education which combines classroom instruction with on-the-job training. This provides students with an opportunity to develop academic, technical and job skills not attainable in a school-based environment.

The program runs on an every-other-week schedule. For one-week students receive classroom instruction, including required academic courses and related vocational technical instruction. During the alternate week students will connect their academic knowledge with the business world through supervised, paid employment in their occupational area.

Students and employers must meet eligibility criteria which can be found under the Requirements link on this webpage http://157.245.2.189/web/content/page/252
